It all started in 2005. Yes, it dates back that damn far.
Before Munky Studios, and before puberty. It was Christmas when Jay got his first video camera. Immediately, his head
swam with ideas, and new ways to corrupt society. Armed with a shitty 32MB memory card, he started on an adventure with his
companions, Adam Rogers, and Paul Calvert-Piotrowicz. Yes, his name is very long. Deal with it.
Anyways, it started simple. An argument about whether or not it is pronounced "Greenpace" erupted into violence. Historically,
this is the first time Jay ever got his ass kicked on camera.
Later into the year, the Group of Three decided that copyrights were necessary. Munky Studios was born.
Since then, movies have been made, and a bi-weekly podcast to promote it. Other ideas have recently sprung up, like our
picketing promotion. This involves signs on fence posts at a 4-way stop, crossing the stree and flashing our sexiness whilst
advertising.
Lately videos have been getting better and better on the road to perfection.
Friends have been made. Joe, Stu and Evan from Insanitarium, Matthew - aka MattG124.
Munky Studios, the name itself, is a product of the tristed mind of Jay. Under Detention was thought up by the Group
of Three together, after many failed attempts at a good title (attempts such as "The Day of the Skit"). Under Detention was
decided upon because it worked for what we were using it for. Each of the group has their own opinion of what it means.
A wise man once dictated, "Never enter a battle of wits unarmed" The moral of the story is, we lose at smartness.
